Working with communities
A stronger future starts with people.
We work alongside communities to improve access to education, essential support, and opportunities that help people build a more secure future.

Featured initiative
Support that meets local needs
Community Learning Spaces
Sample program- The need
- Many children have nowhere quiet to study after school. Homes can be crowded, and libraries may be far away or close early.
- What the program does
- Community Learning Spaces turn existing local rooms into safe, supervised study areas after school, with learning materials and volunteer tutors on hand.
- Books, stationery, and shared learning materials
- Small-group tutoring led by trained volunteers
- A safe, supervised study environment with clear safeguarding procedures
- Regular feedback sessions with parents and young people
How we work
Local voices. Shared decisions.
- 1
Listen to community priorities
We start with conversations, not assumptions. Residents tell us what matters most and what is already working.
- 2
Plan with local partners
Schools, clinics, and community groups help design each program so it fits local life and builds on local strengths.
- 3
Review progress and learn
We review results with the people involved, share what we learn openly, and change course when something is not working.
